Troubleshoot an Offline Screen
What to do when a screen shows as Offline in your dashboard.
Problem
Your screen shows an Offline status indicator in the BraSigns dashboard with an increasing 'Last Seen' time.
Check these first
- [ ] Is the television physically turned on and displaying the BraSigns Player app?
- [ ] Is the media device (Fire Stick, Android TV box) plugged into working power?
- [ ] Is the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection active in the room?
How to fix it
- Verify TV Screen: Look at the physical screen. If the screen is black, use your remote to turn the TV on and switch to the correct HDMI input.
- Check Internet on Device: Press the Home button on your remote. Open another app (like YouTube) or check Settings > Network to confirm the TV has internet access.
- Relaunch BraSigns: Open the BraSigns Player app again. Within 15 seconds, the dashboard status indicator will flip from Red to Green (Online).
- Power Cycle: If the player does not reconnect, unplug the power adapter of the streaming box or TV, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
Still not working?
If the screen remains offline, contact BraSigns Support with your Screen Name, Device Model (e.g. Fire Stick 4K), and whether the TV currently has internet access.
